The Black Ice is a minimalist and lightweight roll-top backpack that meets the needs of modern alpinists and high-altitude climbers. Extensively field-tested features, combined with a clean and simple design make this backpack the perfect companion for alpine and expedition use.

The updated Black Ice provides now an even cleaner look. The high-quality, waterproof ripstop nylon protects against moisture with a water column of 10,000 mm. Minimal daisy chains offer a variety of attachment options. A new arrangement of ice axe loops facilitates ice tool attachment. A zippered outer pocket and an internal pocket provide storage for smaller items.

The suspension system is minimalist and uncluttered. A removable foam board keeps gear separate from the wearer, provides additional padding and can be used as a seat mat in a biwak. The slim shape and body-hugging fit provide an excellent load transfer and a removable hip belt offers more support while carrying.
